Family History

I am a third generation chiropractor and the fifth chiropractor in my family. My family has been practicing chiropractic since 1922 and have 139 years of combined experience. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that chiropractic is in my blood. Chiropractic has been my passion since childhood. I saw
the "miracles" my father performed and the great appreciation and love his patients had for him. His commitment to his patients was unbelievable, and their commitment to him astounded me. My grandfather and father are my inspirations. I felt the effects of my father’s healing hands beginning as a newborn and through every phase in my life.

I use many methods to help people’s bodies heal themselves. My primary adjusting method is Basic Technique, which is a way to evaluate and treat spines using thorough biomechanical analysis and light force adjusting. I also use other techniques such as Diversified, Thomson, Active Release Techinque and Activator.

My father retired in 1990, after practicing since 1947, and I am renewing the Boehmer name in chiropractic. My husband and I reside in St. Louis and he is an officer with St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
